Emberline Adventures

At Emberline Adventures, we strive to provide a unique and memorable angling experience. We specialize in new, innovative methods and tactics to catch a variety of species in Northern California.

The Captain

Emberline Adventures is owned and operated by Roland Aspiras, an avid angler with experience fishing throughout Northern California. Roland has been an outdoor writer for various publications for over 20 years and loves to share his passion for the outdoors and fishing. Emberline Adventures is the product of a life long dream that has come to fruition.

The Boat

Emberline is a 2021 16' RH Seahawk Sport. She is fully rigged with Garmin Chartplotters and LiveScope. A full delta canvas can be deployed for hot summer days or frosty sierra mornings. This mobile, stable and dry platform allows us to fish a multitude of locations. Our trips carry a maximum of two anglers for an interactive experience with a emphasis on angler education and attention to detail.

Our Trips

Emberline Adventures is committed to providing a unique fishing experience that is not available anywhere else. We believe that fishing is best experienced with gear in an angler's hands. Therefore, we specialize in casting, jigging and other techniques where the angler is interacting with fish.

Lake Trout Casting and Jigging

When: Late Summer through Fall.

Location: Sierra Nevada

Looking for hard fighting fish that will readily chase lures? These trips are for you. We'll show you how to locate and target Lake Trout using a variety of lures including swimbaits, strolling baits, jigging spoons and more! This is essentially trout fishing using bass fishing gear. Upon request, we can show you how to make use of live sonar technology to pinpoint lake trout.

Sierras Mixed Bag

When: Fall and Spring.

Our Sierras Mixed Bag trips involve a mixture of trout and bass fishing using artificial lures. Will you catch a lake trout, brown trout, rainbow trout or a smallmouth bass? Or maybe all four?

Sierras Special

When: Fall through Early Winter

Looking to challenge yourself? These trips are for established and diehard anglers looking for a challenge. We concentrate on fishing swimbaits and glidebaits for trophy lake trout.
